Terry Kay Johnson was born April 22, 1952 to Norman and Anna (VanAvermaet) Johnson in Tracy, Minnesota. He graduated from Tracy High School, Pipestone Vocational School and was an entrepreneur at heart. Terry married his high school sweetheart, Barb, June 19, 1982 and they had one daughter, Holly. They lived in Long Lake for 34 years, where he owned Budget Printing & Awards and worked alongside his daughter for 15 years. In 2019, following retirement, Terry and Barb moved permanently to their beloved lake home on Lake Sarah in Garvin. Terry’s short time of retirement was spent farming, spending time with friends, and traveling with his family. Terry was a man of God and practiced his faith as a member of Lake Sarah Lutheran Church in Garvin. We can’t express enough gratitude towards Dr. Mark Huber, Jessica Moriarity, CNP and all the wonderful nurses and staff at the Avera Cancer Institute in Marshall. Terry spent many months receiving chemotherapy treatments and appreciated their honesty and kindness every step of the way.
