Doug married his loving wife Kathleen (Shemon) Dahms on a windy October day. If you asked either of them, their time together had not been long enough. They have four great children; Cynthia (Chad) Dallenbach, Christina Westfield, Anthony Dahms, and Angela (Tonny) Tenai. One of Doug’s many joys was his grandchildren; Chelsie (Brenden) Lundberg, Chase (Monica) Dallenbach, Carlie Dallenbach, Alexander Westfield, Gavin Dahms, Olivia Dahms, Austin Morris, Kayla Morris, Ashlyn Tenai, and Ethan Tenai. His great-grandchildren are Colten Lundberg, Conor Lundberg, and Mellannie Dallenbach. Doug entered the Army in 1969 and was honorably discharged in 1977. He was truly an all-around talented man. Anything his kids needed or his wife wanted, Doug was able to build, create or fix. He loved making cookies and pancakes for his grandchildren. He was very talented at grilling and making marinades. He loved nature; watching his birds out their patio window, fishing, and hunting. He is preceded in death by his parents Lee Dahms and Nellie (Schulz) Dahms, his parents-in-law Rolland Shemon and Bernice (Bliss) Shemon, and many aunts, uncles, and extended family and friends. |
