Jeffrey Scott Fixsen, age 64 of Wabasso, passed away Friday, June 10, 2022 in Cottage Grove, Minnesota. Memorial Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 17, 2022 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Wabasso. Visitation will be held 4:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 16 at the Redwood Valley Funeral Home and will continue for one hour prior to the service on Friday at church. Burial is in St. Matthew Lutheran Cemetery, rural Wabasso. Jeffrey Scott Fixsen was born January 3, 1958 in Redwood Falls, Minnesota to Orrin and Jeanette (Ensey) Fixsen. He attended Wabasso Elementary and Wabasso High School, and he continued his education at U of M – Morris. After graduating with a B.A. in Economics and Business, he returned to Wabasso to farm on the family farm. In February 1993, Jeff was united in marriage to Linda Brandt at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Wabasso, and through this union Jeff gained three children. He was a loyal and dedicated husband to the love of his life, Linda, and to his furry companion, Misty, a yellow lab. Jeff loved playing baseball and pitched for the Milroy Yankees for fourteen years. Other hobbies included hunting and fishing with his friends and family. He was always a very kind and loving grandpa to all his grandkids. Jeff is survived by his mother, Jeanette Fixsen of New London; children: Nathan (Kari) Brandt of Marshall, Adam Brandt of Redwood Falls, Alyssa (Trevor) Krieger of Billings, MT; grandchildren: Hailey, Reagan, and Taylor Brandt, and Olivia, Dylan, Benjamin, and Noah Krieger; sisters: Pam Dagner, Debbie Sinclair, Kris (Bob) Mach; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He is preceded in death by his father Orrin, wife, Linda, and brother-in-law, Mark Dagner. |
