Bethany Jane Hollatz, age 42 of Apple Valley formerly of Webster City, IA, and Redwood Falls, MN, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2022, after a brief illness. A Celebration of Bethany’s Life will be 12pm – 4pm on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at the Redwood Falls Golf Club. Bethany was born on August 4, 1979 in Webster City, Iowa, to Tom Hollatz and Linda Gordon forever cementing her love for the Iowa Hawkeyes. From an early start, Bethany was drawn to sports, drawing and rough-housing with her beloved older brother, Stephen. When Bethany was four years old, her family moved to Redwood Falls, where she graduated with honors in 1998. An avid golfer, Bethany qualified for the state tournament four times and spent many days playing at Redwood Falls Golf Course. She loved to compete and enjoyed the finer fundamentals of the game. After graduation, Bethany worked several jobs, eventually earning a Marketing degree from Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, IA. In 2016, Bethany joined the customer service team at Best Buy in Minneapolis, where she flourished, providing the best possible experience to all customers. Bethany loved her family, especially her niece and nephew Evie and Isaac, and also enjoyed tackling the world’s largest puzzles. In her last few years, Bethany met the love of her life, Arielle, and spent many happy times seeing the country. Bethany will be deeply missed by her family, friends, colleagues, and her beloved dog, Hayden. Bethany is survived by her father Thomas (Sharon) Hollatz; brother Stephen Hollatz; niece Evie; nephew Isaac; aunts and uncles: Richard and Marcia Hollatz, Jim and Rosemary Hollatz, Julie Quebe, Jill (David) Smith; several close cousins; step-family: Kevin Herberg, Julie Gordon (Karen) and Justin, James Gordon and Zack; and significant other Arielle Brandenburg and sons, Gavin and Reece. She is preceded in death by her mother, Linda Herberg, grandparents Arthur and Mary Hollatz and Lynn and Beverly Gordon, uncle Jeff Blome and cousin Dana Quebe. |
