Audree Maguire, age 87 of Redwood Falls, passed away Monday, October 2, 2023 at Garnette Gardens in Redwood Falls. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 5, 2023 at Redwood Valley Funeral Home in Redwood Falls with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Private family burial will be held at a later date. Stephens Funeral Service – Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Audree (Arneson) Maguire was born January 14, 1936 to Leonard and Thurley (Benjamin) Arneson in Worthington, Minnesota. She graduated from Marshall High School in 1954. In 1955, Audree was united in marriage to Ronald “Mick” Maguire in Marshall. The couple lived in Sanborn and later moved to Bloomington in 1961. They later settled in Redwood Falls in 1968. Audree continued her education at Southwest Minnesota State University and graduated in 1973. She then received her Master’s in Education from Mankato State University in 1979. Audree was the reading director at Reede Gray Elementary and then worked as the principal at Morton elementary. Audree later taught in London, Portugal, San Antonio, TX, Las Vegas and later moved to Florida. After her teaching career, she worked as a flight attendant for Continental Airlines. In November of 2004, Audree married Jim Longtin. She returned to Redwood Falls in February of 2016. Audree was passionate about painting and was a talented artist. She loved music and enjoyed playing the piano and guitar. Audree is survived by her son David (Kathy) Maguire of Redwood Falls; daughters-in-law: Terri Maguire of Redwood Falls and Kathryn Decker Maguire of Washington State; grandchildren: Patricia (Justin) Baune of Hutchinson, Caitlin (Craig) Kodet of Redwood Falls, Taylor (Lyz) Maguire of Redwood Falls, Landon White of Tennessee, Charles (Chaz) Crain of Tennessee, Justyn Patrick of Las Vegas, Marshal Maguire of Pennsylvania, and Karissa Penske of Redwood Falls; 13 great grandchildren; several foster great grandchildren; siblings: Judy Caron of Minneapolis, Karen Baack of Denver, Bonnie (Jack) Ruegemer of Blaine and Ed (Kelly) Dehning of Florida; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter Kathy and son Kelly. |
