Vicky Seebeck, age 68 of Cottonwood, passed away Sunday, March 31, 2024 at Morningside Heights in Marshall. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 5, 2024 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Cottonwood. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church on Friday with a Rosary at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be at Our Lady of Victory Cemetery in Lucan. Stephens Funeral Service – Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Vicky Ann (Janachovsky) Seebeck was born April 13, 1955 to Raymond and Norma (Skoblik) Janachovsky. She attended Our Lady of Victory elementary school and graduated from Wabasso High School in 1974. After graduation, she moved to Willmar, where she met the love of her life, Michael. On May 25, 1979, she was united in marriage to Michael Seebeck in Milbank, SD. They had three children: Shawn, Christopher, and Kimberly. In 1996, the family resided outside of Lucan. Vicky worked at Jennie-O-Foods, several hotels, Dairy Queen, Our Lady of Victory School, Cenex and was a cook for 19 years at Lakeview School. Vicky enjoyed sewing, relaxing by the lake, singing at church, traveling to see family and cooking. In 2019, Vicky retired and spent her time reading, talking with friends, and spending quality time with her grandkids. Vicky was active at St. Mary’s Church of Cottonwood. She taught 5th grade Religious Education, was involved with the church circle, and provided meals for many church functions throughout the years. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She is survived by her children: Shawn (Michele) of Shelbyville, TN, Christopher (Angela Erickson & family) of Sioux Falls, SD, and Kimberly (Corey Heidebrink & family) of Cottonwood; wonderful grandchildren: Joseph, Christopher, Kirstin, Cherika, Samuel, Colin, Mason & Elijah; and great-granddaughter Riley. She is preceded in death by her husband Michael, parents Ray and Norma, and her sister baby girl Janachovsky. |
