He worked for Wells Fargo as a Private Mortgage Banker and, more recently, a Market Sales Manager. He took pride and found community through his work. On October 11, 1997, Pat was united in marriage to Karen Brandt at St. Edward Catholic Church in Bloomington. They were blessed with two children, Jake and Caitlin. Pat was a kind, patient and loyal friend to all who knew him. He was happiest surrounded by his family, whether spending time at home or embarking on trips and adventures together. An early riser, Pat often captured sunrise photos, welcoming each day with enthusiasm. He found joy in biking, hiking, golfing, bird watching, morel mushroom hunting, and being immersed in nature. Pat taught us to live life to the fullest, always up for anything and embracing every moment. He consistently went the extra mile for his kids, supporting their dreams and aspirations with unwavering dedication. He emphasized the importance of faith, hard work, and appreciating life’s simple pleasures, all while encouraging them to have fun along the way. As a trusted confidant and connector among friends and family, he always made sure everyone felt heard and valued. He took great pride in the Simmons family Facebook group, encouraging everyone to post photos, share stories, and celebrate their shared history. A loving husband, father, cherished brother, uncle, and friend, Pat’s impact was felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Family gatherings were among his favorite occasions, where he could delight in preparing a meal to bring everyone together, turning ordinary days into unforgettable moments of connection and joy. May we honor him by embracing the lessons he imparted and carrying forward his legacy of love, loyalty, and kindness. Blessed be his memory. |
