Addeline Marie Clark, age 89 of Westbrook, passed away Friday, April 24, 2020 at the Good Samaritan Society in Westbrook. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and current restrictions, a memorial service for Addie will be held at a later date. Stephens Funeral Service – Westbrook Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Addeline Marie (Nimerfroh) Clark was born March 11, 1931 to Alois and Amelia (Legler) Nimerfroh in Belfast Township. She was baptized and confirmed at American Lutheran Church in Avoca. Addie attended Fulda Public Schools and later was united in marriage to Kenneth Clark on June 6, 1948 in Avoca. Together they raised three children Judy, Connie, and Rick. They farmed near Dundee until 1980 and then moved to Viola, WI and farmed another 4 years. In 1984 they moved to Belvidere, IL and in 1989 they made their home in Westbrook. Addie worked at Maynard’s Grocery Store from 1991 to 2015. She retired at the age of 84 years old. Addie loved fishing, crossword puzzles, playing cards, hunting Moral Mushrooms in the Wisconsin Hills, driving around searching for asparagus, watching Vikings football, and Twins Baseball. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends during happy hour. Addeline is survived by her children Judy Fowler of Westbrook, Connie (Brian) Vaupel of Westbrook, and Rick (Susan) Clark of Woodruff, WI; 7 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; sister Elsie Riddell who Addie shared a very close relationship with; and many other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Kenneth, parents, Alois and Amelia Nimerfroh, brothers Albert and Elmer Nimerfroh, sister Lorraine Pearson, and sons-in-law Bob Fowler and Roger Krick. |
