On December 10, 1955 Ron married his best friend and Boyd High School sweetheart, Marlys Hanson. They were married for 55 years. He loved being a dad, grandpa and uncle. He will be remembered for the amazing gift he had for knowing anything about family history, his love of family, music, sports, new cars, his boomer ball skills, and his love of sweets. In his younger years, Ron was always on call anytime elderly friends needed help. He was a Wabasso volunteer firefighter, in Redwood he volunteered at the food shelf, drove the van for the senior citizens and delivered Meals on Wheels for many years. He will be missed by many. Ron left us a lifetime of memories, stories and loads of love. Although we will miss him a lot, we were blessed to have had him in our lives for as long as we did. Ron is survived by daughter Jody (John) Sanders; sons, Scott (Heidi) Hennen, and Brian (Charlene) Hennen; and daughter-in- law Jane Chapman. He has 10 grandchildren; Nathaniel, Sarah, Lexi, Rajesh, Amanda, Caleb and Ali, Marleeya, Harley and Noah, as well as 10 great grandchildren; Aidan, Elijah, Celestial, Cale, Dion, Lola, Armonie, Malik, Kyree and Rowen.
