Wulfy Rathman

Jeff “Wulfy” Rathman, age 62, of Vesta, passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at Prairie View Healthcare Center in Tracy with his wife at his side. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at the Vesta Community Center at 320 E. Centre Street in Vesta. Lunch will be provided. Visitation will be one hour prior at the Community Center on Wednesday. Stephens Funeral Service – Tracy Area Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Wulfy was born April 12, 1963 to Richard and Carmen (Adkins) Rathman in Springfield, MN. He received the sacraments in the Catholic faith. Wulfy received his high school diploma from Marshall High School and attended Canby Vo-Tech for automotive mechanics. On August 26, 1996, Wulfy married Susan Anderson at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Lucan. They were re-married March 12, 2025 at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. Wulfy had many interests and worked for Chassis Liner and Northern States Elevator Company in Lucan, the Marshall Wastewater Treatment plant for 15 years, Jonti-Craft, Inc. in Wabasso and Meadowland Farmers Coop in Vesta. Wulfy was a member of the Vesta City Council, Patriot Guard Riders, Wreaths Across America, A.B.A.T.E., and participated in the Toys for Tots program. He was a jack of all trades and helped anyone in need. He loved riding motorcycle and would take his dog, Loki for car rides. Wulfy enjoyed going to car shows, woodworking, small engine repair and tinkering. Most of all, he treasured time with his family and friends.

 Wulfy is survived by his wife Susan; children: Ryan (Breanna) Rathman of Lynd & Jessica Rathman of Minnesota; bonus kids: Jenny (Shane), Shawn, Joleen (Buddy), Holly (Victor), Anthony & Paige; father Richard of Albert Lea; 17 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sister Jolene Erpestad of Winona; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother Carmen King and sister Lisa Rathman.
