Wayne C. Jacobson age 77 of Tyler passed away Saturday, March 30, 2013 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Tyler Alliance Church.

Wayne C. Jacobson was born in Vesta, MN on November 24, 1935, the son of Marvin and Evelyn Jacobson. He attended a rural school in Kandiyohi County and graduated from Atwater High School. Wayne was united in marriage to Elizabeth Olson on June 18, 1955. His working career included 34 years in telephone work and 10 years with Finley Engineering. Wayne also enjoyed many years wintering on Padre Island, TX. He was active in volunteer work from his youth to his last days. Wayne especially loved people and received great enjoyment from helping others. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren, Maribeth and Richard Jacobson.

Wayne is survived by his wife Elizabeth of Tyler; 2 sons: Nathan and his wife Bernadine of Miles City, MT and Neale and his wife Karen of Tyler; and his 2 grandchildren; sister Renee Lundquist and her husband Gene of Lakeville; and brother Milo and his wife Pam of Olivia. He was preceded in death by his parents.
