Lillian H. Knudson age 101 of Westbrook passed away Monday, September 9, 2013 at the Westbrook Good Samaritan Care Center.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 12, at Grace Lutheran Church in Westbrook. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Lillian H. Knudson was born December 11, 1911 in Rosehill Township, Cottonwood County, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Cornelius and Mary (Engler) Wahl. She was baptized and confirmed at Rosehill Lutheran Church, and educated at District #48 Rosehill Township. Lillian married Otto E. Knudson on February 28, 1934 and they lived in Westbrook until his death on September 16, 1974, at the age of 70. Lillian was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Westbrook. She liked playing cards, especially Bridge. Lillian enjoyed a variety of crafts. She was an excellent seamstress, and crocheting and knitting were crafts she loved to do. She created many beautiful Afghans. She also loved to bake. She baked sheet cakes and wedding cakes, and decorated them beautifully. Lillian’s cookie jars were always full of a variety of cookies and ready to serve with a hot cup of coffee when someone stopped by for a visit.

Lillian is survived by several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Otto, and son Gilmore Knudson.
