Linda Evans age 58 of Redwood Falls passed away on Monday, December 24, 2012 at her home surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Redwood Falls.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the Redwood Valley Funeral Home with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m.  Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.  Interment is in St. Catherine’s Catholic Cemetery.  Stephens Funeral Service – Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Linda was born January 26, 1954 in Springfield, MN to Carl & Eva (Wickwire) Larsen.  She graduated from Redwood Falls High School in 1972.  On May 1, 1976, Linda was united in marriage to Guy Evans at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church.  They had one son Tony.  Together they made their home in Redwood Falls.  Linda worked in the kitchen at Wood Dale Nursing Home for many years where she was the dietary manager.  In November 2011, she went to work at Parkview Home in Belview.  Linda was a very active member of St. Catherine’s where she served on the social concerns committee and the CCW.  Linda collected Coca-Cola memorabilia, bird houses, and stuffed bears.  She enjoyed playing Bingo and travelling.  Linda recently enjoyed a trip to a family reunion in Montana.  She took great pride in family history and enjoyed getting to know as much as possible about the entire extended family.  Linda loved spending her time with Guy. She also enjoyed visiting with her friends and family, and especially loved being with her son and grandsons.

Linda is survived by her son Tony and wife Hilary Evans of Redwood Falls; grandsons: Jake, Bo and Lane; siblings: Gerald (Susan) Larsen of Redwood Falls, Leitha Becker of Redwood Falls, Molly Schefus of Redwood Falls, Sharon Timgren of Westbrook and Allan Larsen of Albert Lea; and many other relatives and friends.  Preceding her in death are her parents, husband Guy on December 12, 2009, brother Ronald Larsen and brothers in law Wayne Becker and Dennis Timgren.
