On August 26, 2012 at the age of 66 Sara Robinson Triplett of Redwood Falls broke free of this fallen world and entered into the realms of glory.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Assembly of God Church in Redwood Falls.

Visitation is 4:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the church and will continue one hour prior to services on Thursday.  Interment is in Bethel Cemetery near Garvin.  Stephens Funeral Service – Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Sara Robinson was born April 26, 2946 in Tracy, MN to Merton and Vera (Harris) Robinson.  She graduated from Tracy High School in 1964 and continued her education at the University of Minnesota, where she received her degree as lab technician.  On October 16, 1965 she married her school bus sweetheart, LeRoy Triplett, in Garvin.  The couple moved to Edina where their two children, Mark and Rebecca, were born.  In 1973 they moved to Redwood Falls.  Sara was employed at the Redwood Medical Center from 1973 until 2012.  She was highly involved in the community.  Sara was appointed to the City Council in 1985 and served as Council President in 1992 and 1993.  She was elected Mayor in 1995 and served 3 terms, retiring in 2007.  Sara was mayor during the construction of the school, community center, library, and the hospital addition.  She served on the Southwest Development Commission, Redwood Falls Library Commission, and Plum Creek Governing Board.  Sara was involved in the Redwood Falls Christian Womens Club for 20 years.  She served in several offices including Vice President of Redwood Falls Club and had the privilege of speaking at clubs all around the 5 state area.  Sara became credentialed as a pastor in 2002 and has preached at many area churches and served as Interim and Associate Pastor at the New Life Assembly of God Church in Springfield.  She was a member of New Life Assembly of God Church in Springfield and longtime member of the Redwood Falls Assembly of God Church.  She was active in the women’s ministry, serving as president, Sunday School teacher, mission leader, special event planner, and kitchen committee chair.  Sara was involved in mentoring young women in the area, many of whom became very close friends.  Sara loved reading and studying, going on walks through Ramsey Park, traveling, especially to St. Petersburg Beach and Europe.  She enjoyed spending time at the cabin, with friends, and spending time with her granddaughters.

She is survived by her children: Mark Triplett and Rebecca (Mike) Bartz , both of Redwood Falls; granddaughters Lyvia and Eleanor Bartz; and many friends.  She is preceded in death by her parents and husband LeRoy.
