Maggie Maserek

Maggie Maserek age 78, of Redwood Falls, passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at Woodstone Senior Living in New Ulm.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 13 at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Redwood Falls.  Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. Monday at Redwood Valley Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m.  Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at church on Tuesday.  Interment will be in the St. Catherine’s Catholic Cemetery.  Stephens Funeral Service – Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Maggie was born May 16, 1940 to Gaston and Anna (Sinave) Dalle in Clifton Township, Minnesota.  She was one of eleven children.  On June 4, 1958, Maggie married LuVerne Maserek in Ghent.  They lived in Redwood Falls most of their lives.  The couple started their own cable company called M-TEK Systems Inc., which serviced many rural communities surrounding the Redwood Falls area.  Maggie was a very active member at St. Catherine’s.  She was involved in CCW, foresters and sang in the church choir.  Maggie was an avid gardener and enjoyed being outdoors.  She baked wonderful pies and cookies.  Maggie loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren whom she was very proud of.

Maggie is survived by her husband LuVerne of 60 years; children: Randy (DeAnna) Maserek of New Ulm, Loren Maserek, Susan (Gordon) Totman both of Redwood Falls, Laura (Joe) Barrett of Maple Grove, and Janice Gillard of Kasson; grandchildren: Jordan Maserek, Lyndsay (Tyler) Serbus, Melissa (Frank) Troncozo, Michael (Wendy) Maserek, Brandon (Sarah) Walter, Marquette (Kyle) Ostrand, and Blake (Stephanie) Scherbing; 15 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and several siblings.

  1. Thoughts and prayers to the family. Maggie was always full of life and love. She had a very strong faith and was loved by all who knew her. May she rest in peace as heaven has gained a beautiful angel

  2. My sympathies to Janice and the rest of the family. I remember Maggie as a giving person who was involved in many church related activities and events. She always had a smile on her face. Blessings for eternal rest.

  3. I have many fond memories of conversations with Maggie and Vern. Blessings to all of the family during this time. I can see her smiling with great love towards all of you whom she loved so dearly.
