Alvin Seeman Alvin Seeman age 87 of Redwood Falls passed away Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Renvilla Nursing Home. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, February 26 at First Presbyterian Church in Redwood Falls. Visitation is one hour prior to services. Memorials may be given to the charity of the donor’s choice. Online condolences may be sent at www.stephensfuneralservice.com. Stephens Funeral Service – Redwood Valley Funeral Home in Redwood Falls is assisting family with arrangements.

Alvin Seeman was born August 25, 1927 in Kansas City, Missouri to Archie and Kathryn (Rudy) Seeman. He served in the US Navy during WWII and the Korean War. On April 9, 1948 he married Rachel Nelson in Sterling, Colorado. She passed away September 9, 2009 in Redwood Falls. Alvin was employed 35 years by Chicago & Northwestern Railroad retiring September 30, 1986 as Material Distributing Manager.

Alvin is survived by his son James (Pamela) Seeman of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; daughter-in-law Margaret of Brooklyn Park; grandchildren: Jennifer (Brad) Beckendorf of Renville, Joe (Chris) Seeman of Cleveland, MN, and Matthew Seeman of Gresham, OR; seven great grandchildren; sister Kathryn (Richard) Howard of Blunt, SD; and several nephews and nieces. He is preceded in death by his parents, son Robert, and brother Maurice Seeman.

  1. Sorry to hear of your loss. I am Menno Tschetters son and have very fond memories of Al. He was a great help on my Dad’s farm, putting up hay and feeding cattle. My favorite memory was him naming things Sam, like his pickup. Our prayers are with you in this time of loss. Neil Tschetter

      Thank you for your sympathies. Grandpa Alvin talked about his days with your dad and all stuff they all did together. It brought joy to him remebering those days. Jim also shared some of his memories with you all. Yes – Grandpa loved the name Sam 🙂 (their family dog ended up with the name Sammy) Again – thank you for your kind words and good memories of Alvin.
