Barry Michael Clausen was born March 7, 1975 in Redwood Falls, Minnesota to Ronald and Marge (Anderson) Clausen. He was baptized and confirmed at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. Barry graduated from BDRSH High School in 1993. He loved music and played the baritone in the high school band and was a very good singer. During his high school years, he worked as a CNA at Parkview Home in Belview and was active in LYS and 4-H. Barry continued his education with one year at Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato. He worked at Jackpot Junction Casino. Barry loved watching game shows; he had a knack for storing useless trivia. He loved going for drives and was an avid Twins, Vikings, and WWE wrestling fan. Barry had a very likeable personality and liked to tell jokes. He loved spending time with his family, especially his niece and nephews.
Barry is survived by his parents Ron and Marge Clausen of Belview; siblings: Randy (Kathy) Clausen of Redwood Falls, Shelly Clausen of North Mankato, Kim (Jason) Knacke of Darwin, and Amy (Josh) McCabe of North Mankato; niece and nephews: Brandon and Allison Knacke, and Trent (godson) and Carter McCabe; special friend Whitney Lord; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Andrew and Mabel Clausen and Stanford and Hazel Anderson, uncles Myron Anderson and Kenny Clausen, and aunt Jane McDonough.
To the Clausen family and Whitney, I never had the opportunity to meet Barry in person but he’s was one of the sweetest men I’ve ever had the pleasure of talking to. He always had a smile on his face and always knew how to make me laugh. He will forever have a place in my heart. My deepest condolences and prayers are with you all. Until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of his hand.
With Deepest Sympathy to your family. Ours Thoughts and Prayers are with you all at this time.

My deepest sympathy to you all. I have enjoyed knowing Barry (and the entire Clausen family) for most of my life. He had a great sense of humor and a great, friendly personality. I got to know him during school back in Belview, mostly in the high school band, but as it was a very small school, also in the hallways and various other school functions. Take comfort in knowing that Barry is at peace. Take care and I hope to see all of you soon.
