Ben O. Becker
Ben O. Becker was born December 5, 1916 in Mountain Lake, Minnesota to John and Anna (Schroeder) Becker. He attended country school near Mountain Lake. Ben was united in marriage to Constance Roemer on February 15, 1975 at the Jeffers Methodist Church. The couple moved to Westbrook in 1975 where they have resided since. Ben worked as a meat cutter at the Jeffers meat market for many years. He was a longtime member of the Bethel Mennonite Church. Due to Ben’s health, he was forced to retire, and later entered the Westbrook Good Samaritan Center in October of 2005.
Ben O. Becker passed away Monday, May 11, 2009 at the Westbrook Good Samaritan Center in Westbrook, Minnesota, at the age of 92 years, 5 months, and 6 days.
Ben is survived by Connie Becker of Westbrook; stepdaughters: Judy (Bill) Eitzen of Boulder, CO, Kathy (Bill) Donnelly of Minneapolis; step-daughter-in-law Marilyn Grantz of Maple Lake, MN; 5 step-grandchildren; 7 step-great-grandchildren; brother Edgar Becker of Yankton, SD; sister Anna (Paul) Rexroad of Columbia, MO; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, stepson Richard Grantz, four brothers and two sisters.
