Larry Binnebose age 63 of Wood Lake passed away Friday, February 17, 2012 at McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls as the result of head trauma from a fall.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Cottonwood.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday at the church with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.  Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday. Kulow Funeral Service- Redwood Valley Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Larry Binnebose was born May 3, 1948 in Marshall, MN to Julius & Evelyn (Loke) Binnebose.  He graduated from Tracy High School in 1966, and enlisted in the US Army.  He was stationed in Alaska and Louisiana.  He received his honorable discharge January 20, 1971, and returned to Lynd, MN.  On January 22, 1972, Larry was united in marriage to Janet Lacek in Canby.  He worked a variety of jobs and retired at age 62.  He then went to work part time in Granite Falls.  Larry was a First Responder in Buffalo Lake and Wood Lake for over 20 years.  He enjoyed fishing, travelling, working in the garage and vegetable gardening.  He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Larry is survived by his wife Janet of 40 years; children: Jason of Hendricks, Jodi (Matt) Mohn of Wood Lake, and Jessica (Courtney) Hanson of Granite Falls; proud papa of grandchildren: Caleb, Olivia, and Shelby; siblings: Linda (Chuck) Madden of Tracy, Loren (Gloria) Binnebose of Colorado Springs, CO, Lowell (Birgit) Binnebose of Colorado Springs, CO, and Lana (Chris) Hoss of Marshall; and many other relatives and friends.  Preceding him in death are his parents.
