Craig S. Jarcho age 66 of Echo, formerly of Hanley Falls, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Redwood Area Hospital in Redwood Falls. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Christ Lutheran Church in Cottonwood. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, June 1 at the church. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at church on Saturday. There will be a private family interment at a later date. Stephens Funeral Service – Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Craig S. Jarcho was born August 9, 1951 to Slim and Marietta Jarcho. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. Craig attended school in Hanley Falls and graduated from Granite Falls High School in 1969. He continued his education at the University of Minnesota Crookston. Craig later enlisted in the United States Airforce and served during the Vietnam War. He served in the military for 16 years before he received his honorable discharge. Craig was united in marriage to Marilyn Jeal and from this marriage two sons were born, Kyle and Bryn. He enjoyed many hobbies including woodworking, building crafts, hunting and fishing. Craig loved visiting with people and was very outgoing. He enjoyed watching Minnesota sports teams, especially the Twins and Vikings. Baseball was one of Craig’s passions and he coached for over 20 years. Craig was also known as a great cook and was a member of the American Legion. On August 30, 2014, Craig married Michelle Hay at Broadwater Lodge on Old Woman Lake. He loved his family and spending time with them, especially with his grandkids.
Craig is survived by his wife Michelle; mother Marietta Jarcho of Cottonwood; children: Kyle Jarcho (Talicia Koester) of Cheyenne, WY and Bryn (Kelly) Jarcho of Mankato; stepdaughters: Laci (Mike) Schuttler of Wood Lake, Sarah (Dan) Panka of Ivanhoe, Emily (Adam) Illies of Wood Lake, and Tiana Hay (Tanner Lentz) of Echo; grandchildren: Brennen Jarcho and Eastyn, Keadyn & Kinsley Jarcho; step grandchildren: Garrett Schuttler, Khya & Kellan Gawarecki, Decker Panka & soon to be baby Panka, and Jasmine & Joseph Illies; and many relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his father Slim.
