Brenda L. Datwyler…52 formerly of Milroy, passed away Sunday, April 10, 2011 at Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Balaton following a long battle with cancer..
Funeral services will be held at Grace/First Parish in Russell at 1:00p.m. on Friday, April 15, 2011.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Private family burial will be held at a later date. Tyler Area Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Brenda Lou Datwyler was born May 28, 1958 in Redwood Falls, Minnesota to Brainerd and Bertha (Thomas) Datwyler. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Milroy, and attended Milroy Public School and Southwest State University for business management. Brenda loved camping, fishing, visiting with friends. She always loved going on motor cycle rides, runs, camping trips, Sturgis bike rallies, hanging out and being “one of the guys”. Brenda was a member of Milroy Lutheran Church, Dry Riders Motor Cycle Club of Albert Lea. She loved anything to do with motor cycles, camping, fishing, packing everything but the kitchen sink when she’d go anywhere, and her dog”Gizmo”. She also enjoyed custom beading and reading.
She is survived by her special friend Perry Stenerson of Fairmont; children Rachel (Rick) LeClaire of Russell, and Jeffrey Goodmund of the Twin Cities; her dog “Gizmo”; Grandchildren MaLinda, MaKala, and Parker of Russell and Ethan of Bloomington; Siblings Jerry (Suzie) Datwyler of Milroy, Tom (Barb) Datwyler of Shakopee and Donna (Larry) McDonough of Inver Grove Heights and special friend “Big Bear”. She is preceded in death by her mother, Bertha and father Brainerd; best friends Mark Jemmings and “Animal”.
