Debra MillerDebra Ann Miller age 61 of Marshall, formerly of Westbrook, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD with family at her side. Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 21 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Westbrook. Visitation is one hour prior to services. Burial is in the Westbrook Cemetery. Flowers may be sent to St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 1153 1st Avenue, Westbrook MN 56183. Online condolences may be sent at www.stephensfuneralservice.com. Stephens Funeral Service – Westbrook Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Debra Ann (Bruning) Miller was born June 29, 1953 in Westbrook, Minnesota to Floyd E. and Rita (Backus) Bruning. She graduated from Westbrook High School, and furthered her education at Winona State University, Iowa State University, and Mankato State University. Debra earned a Master’s Degree in Special Education, and later went on for Education Administration. On September 3, 1977 she married Roger Miller. Debra enjoyed walking trails at Lake Shetek, gardening, arts, and music. Her life’s passion was advocating for her special education children. Debra loved spending time with family and friends.

Debra is survived by her husband Roger of Marshall; children Luke (Danielle) Miller of Chaska and Alexis (James) Witte of Eden Prairie; grandson Aaron Miller; mother Rita Bruning; siblings: Linda (Gene) Nelsen, Sandra (Gary) Adams, and Chuck (Diane) Bruning; and a host of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father Floyd E. Bruning.
