Winnie DeZeeuw
Winnie DeZeeuw.. 90 of Tyler, formerly of Ruthton passed away Monday, July 19, 2010 at the Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Tyler.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00a.m. on Thursday, July 22 at the Country Church in Ruthton. Interment will be in the Holland Cemetery.
The Tyler Area Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Winnie DeZeeuw was born August 27, 1919 to Wesley and Johanna (Mouw) Bouman on the farm by Holland, Mn. She attended country school in Fountain Prairie Township. Winnie was united in marriage to Henry DeZeeuw in April of l942. Following their divorce in 1948 she and her three children moved to her parents’ farm, where she helped with the chores and some farm work. After her fathers’ death in 1956, Winnie became caretaker for her mother until her passing in 1967. She then moved to Holland where she was caretaker for Mr. and Mrs. Henry Fritz. In 1983 she moved into her own little home in Ruthton, where she really enjoyed her independence. Although she was retired, she continued to help others that needed help. Winnie enjoyed socializing with everyone. She had a place in her heart for the love of animals. In May of 2006 she decided it was time to have someone care for her and entered Sunrise Manor in Tyler where she resided until her passing.
Winnie DeZeeuw passed away Monday, July 19, 2010 at the Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Tyler, Minnesota at the age of 90 years 10 months and 22 days.
She is survived by two sons, Jim Dezale of Ettrick, Wisconsin, Jerry DeZeeuw of Blaine, Mn, one daugher, Arlene DeZeeuw of Grantsburg, Wisconsin; sister, Henrietta Wolfswinkle, Holland; brother, Henry Bouman and wife Lavon of Holland.
Winnie was preceded in death by an infant son William, her parents, and brother Francis Bouman Sr.
