Diane Koland, age 55, of Redwood Falls passed away Saturday, February 21, 2015 at the Redwood Area Hospital. Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 27 at the Redwood Valley Funeral Home in Redwood Falls. Online condolences may be sent at www.stephensfuneralservice.com. Diane Gail Koland was born November 15, 1959 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Leonard and Gail (Plasch) Koland. Diane lived in several different places before finding her “true home” in 1991 when she moved to the SOCS home in Redwood Falls. Diane attended and was employed by Service Enterprises Inc. from 1991 until 2014. Diane enjoyed swinging, listening to music, sitting in the sun, eating out, and looking at magazines. Diane’s favorite thing in the world was when her mother, Gail, and stepfather, Jerry, would pick her up in the Winnebago.

Diane is survived by her mother Gail Johnson and stepfather Jerry Johnson of Isle, MN and Arcadia, FL; sister Lisa Koland; brother Paul Koland; longtime friends Kathleen and Mary Ann; and many other friends. She is preceded in death by her grandparents and special friends Gloria, Donald, Marilyn, and Mary Jo.
