Visitation is 4:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the Redwood Valley Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will also be from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Diane was born January 3, 1955 in Redwood Falls, MN to Clifford and Esther (Thomas) Lucio Sr. She attended Bishop Whipple School on the Lower Sioux until 6th grade and graduated from Morton High School in 1974. Diane worked at Control Data, Redwood Falls Nursery potting and planting trees, Sanborn Manufacturing in Springfield making pulleys for lawn mowers, and Specialty Engineering as machine operator. She also worked at the original bingo hall as a waitress. Diane was a member of the Eagles and American Legion Auxiliaries. She had a passion for music and loved dancing to polka and country western music. She enjoyed fishing, playing dice especially 6-5-4, and cards especially Jacks are better. Diane loved her dog Sam, cats, and all animals. She had a passion for tigers. Diane “enjoyed life as it was”, and drinking her Mac and water.
Diane is survived by her siblings: Vicky Lucio of Shakopee, Mary Loomis and Frank Lucio both of the Lower Sioux Community, Ruth Pacheco of Albuquerque, NM, and Joe Lucio of Tokyo, Japan; many nieces, nephews, and loving friends and goddaughter Sheena Crow of the Lower Sioux Community. She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters Leona, Josie Seidl, Bernice Scheffler, and Susie Rinderman, brothers Clifford Lucio Jr., Johnny and Albert Lucio, and 2 infant sisters.
