Elviera Hazel Raddatz age 91 of Redwood Falls passed away Saturday, March 16, 2013 at the Redwood Area Hospital.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Redwood Valley Funeral Home and will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday. Interment is in the Redwood Falls Cemetery. Stephens Funeral Service – Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Elviera Hazel Raddatz was born April 9, 1921 in New Avon Township, Redwood County, MN to Otto & Clara (Ott) Raddatz. She was baptized April 11, 1921 at home by Rev. W.C. Nickles and was confirmed on April 14, 1935 at St. John’s Evangelical Church by Rev. E.A. Birkholz. Elviera attended Country School District 63 in Redwood County. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. Elviera was also a longtime employee at Coast to Coast Hardware in Redwood Falls. She enjoyed quilting & crocheting, crafts and gardening.
Elviera is survived by her sister Elaine Just of Redwood Falls; nephews: Roger (Lois) Just of Park Rapids & Dewan Just of Littleton, CO; nieces: Rita (Alan) Wieneke of Redwood Falls, Bev (Bob) Hoffbeck of Clements, Evelyn (Delwin) Junker of Comfrey, Marilyn (Ben) Williams of Overland Park, KS, Karen (Quint) Dooley of Sioux Falls, SD, and Carol (Dave) Roberts of Aurora, CO. She is also survived by 21 great nieces and nephews, 17 great great nieces and nephews, and many other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death are her parents, brother Orville (Myrtle) Raddatz, brother in law Melvin “Bud” Just, and many aunts, uncles and cousins
