Loren Haaven

Loren Haaven…54 of Tyler passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 16, 2010 at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 21, at the Tyler Area Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held 4:00-6:00p.m. Monday. at the Tyler Area Funeral Home and will continue one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. 

Interment is in Hope Cemetery in Tyler.

The Tyler Area Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. 

Loren Haaven was born September 3, 1956 in Tyler, Minnesota to Howard and Yvonne (Schnell) Haaven.  He was baptized and confirmed at Bethany Lutheran Church in Arco, Minnesota.  Loren graduated from Tyler High School.  He enjoyed vegetable gardening and canning.  Loren was great at grilling and barbequing.  He loved talking and spending time with his nephews who were very important to him.

Loren is survived by his daughter Heather of Washington State; brother Galen (Jill) of Almelund, MN; sister Shirlee Scharnberg of Newport, MN; and nephews: Jeff Bradley, Jamie Bradley, Trevor Haaven, Luke Haaven and their families.  He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Colette Haaven, niece Dana Haaven, and brother-in-law Gary Scharnberg.
