Jean BjorneboJean Bjornebo age 83 of Marshall, formerly of Cottonwood, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2015 surrounded by her loved ones at Prairie Home Hospice in Marshall. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 13 at Christ Lutheran Church in Cottonwood. Visitation is 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the church with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services Wednesday. Burial is in Christ Lutheran Cemetery. Jean Bjornebo was born March 1, 1932, in Wood Lake Township to Roy and Edna (Reishus) Bestland. She was baptized as an infant and confirmed in May 1947 at Yellow Medicine Lutheran Church in Hanley Falls, MN. She married Rollan Lovsness on October 2, 1949 at Yellow Medicine Lutheran Church. They had five daughters. In 1969, she married Arvid Bjornebo at Christ Lutheran Church in Cottonwood and with this union, two more daughters joined the family. Jean was employed at North Star Insurance Company in Cottonwood, and also at Schwan’s Enterprises in Marshall. Jean was a loving mother to her seven daughters and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Reading, baking, flowers, and traveling were some of her favorite pastimes.

Jean is survived by her daughters Julie (Gary) Surface of West Palm Beach, FL, Janet (Milt) Stengel of Milbank, SD, Jill (George) Gerlach of Bellevue, TX, Jill Doom (significant other Randy Paradis) of Marshall, Jody Lovsness (significant other Mark Pfeffer) of Omaha, NE, Jane (Simon) Pate of Victoria, and Jackie Lovsness of Marshall; grandchildren: Christie, Cory, Scott, Andrea, Ross, Chad, Evan, Bryce, Easton, Summer, Sarah, Joseph, Shelby, Emily, Lauren, Jordan, Ashley, and Alyssa; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; sister Donna (Duane) Stelter of Mesa, AZ; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Rollan, husband Arvid Bjornebo, and brother Roy Bestland Jr.
