Jerry Frericks age 58 of Wabasso passed away Monday, April 1, 2013 in Rochester after an extended battle with lung cancer.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Wabasso.

Visitation begins at 9:00 a.m. at the church and continues until the time of service. Interment is in St. Anne’s Catholic Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent at www.stephensfuneralservice.com. Stephens Funeral Service – Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Jerome Charles Frericks was born January 28, 1955 in Redwood Falls, MN to Harold and Connie (Edmondson) Frericks. He attended Wabasso Public School. After meeting Debbie Loving in Colorado Springs, CO, they were married on November 7, 1995 in Gravette, AR . Jerry worked over 35 years in the automotive parts and service industry in Minnesota and Colorado, with over 25 years with Auto Value across Southwest Minnesota. He served the City of Wabasso on the EDA, City Council, and was Mayor for 3 terms. Jerry enjoyed car and go-kart racing, fishing, and model car collecting. He loved rebuilding cars, the hobby farm, and car repair.

Jerry is survived by his wife Debbie; children Allison (Mark) Heatwole of Round Rock, TX, and Angela (Geoff) Cannon of Wabasso; grandchildren: Samantha Ross, Avery Heatwole, Emily Heatwole, and Brynnley Cannon; parents Harold and Connie Frericks of Wabasso; 11 brothers and sisters across greater Minnesota; many nieces and nephews; and his furry friends Pete and Harley. He is preceded in death by his twin brothers Peter and Paul Frericks, grandparents John and Elizabeth Frericks and Wilfred and Emma Edmondson, and life-long friend Frank Hassenstab.
