Larry Hyatt age 69 of Tracy passed away Thursday, May 12, 2016 at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls. Public graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 19 at the Tracy City Cemetery. Larry Lee Hyatt was born April 24, 1947 in Estherville, Iowa to Harrison and Frances (Kathman) Hyatt. He attended school in Granite Falls. Larry enlisted in the US Army in 1964. He was stationed at Fort Carson, Colorado, and served as an infantryman. He received the National Defense Service Medal and was Honorably Discharged September 27, 1967. After his military service, Larry returned to Marshall. He was an Alcoholics Anonymous volunteer and sponsor and helped many people maintain their sobriety. Larry was a member of the Marshall VFW. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and watching Western movies. Larry loved cars and sold many cars over the years. He moved to Tracy in January 2016.
Larry is survived by his daughter Laurie Ann Holyoak of Winkelman, AZ; grandchildren Jeremy and Chelsea; siblings: Robert (Gerry) Hyatt of Wood Lake, Bonnie VanderBrink of Bellflower, CA, and Deb (Maurel) Ohman of Tracy; many nieces and one nephew; and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, sister Loretta Kay Hyatt, and two nephews.
