Cyril John Lensing age 83 of Wabasso passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2010.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 14 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Wabasso.

Visitation will be 4:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday AT THE CHURCH with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m., and will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday.  Burial will be in St. Anne’s Catholic Cemetery.  The Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Cyril John Lensing was born August 10, 1927 to August and Agnes (Fangmann) Lensing.  He farmed with his father.  Cyril entered the US Army December 10, 1954 and on December 10, 1956 he received his honorable discharge.  After the service he returned to the Wabasso area and farmed with his parents in Waterbury Township.  Cyril was united in marriage to Mary Gerner Beebout on March 17, 1979 in Milroy.  They resided on the family farm and moved to Wabasso in 1996.  Cyril was a member of the American Legion Victor Hirsch Post #263, Eagles Club in Marshall, and Catholic Order of Foresters.  He enjoyed traveling, visiting his stepdaughters, bowling and golfing.

Cyril is survived by his wife Mary; step-children: Jill (Jeff) Jensen of Gilbert, AZ, Jon (Diane) Beebout of Underwood, MN, Dan (Cathy) Beebout of Milroy, MN, and Rosalie (Charles) Brown of Henderson, NV; many step-grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings: Marcella Plaetz, Donald (Jane) Lensing, and Cyrilla McDonald all of Wabasso; and many other relatives and friends.  He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Margaret Fischer and husband Ed, brothers-in-law John McDonald and Lawrence Plaetz, and step-daughter Sue Beebout.
