Lillian (Meyer) Schweim was born March 31, 1916 at home north of Springfield, Minnesota in Sundown Township to August and Bertha (Schultz) Meyer. She attended country school District 13 through the 8th grade. Following her schooling, Lillian went to work for various people doing housework and caring for their loved ones. On May 31, 1942, Lillian was united in marriage to Wilbert Schweim at Zion Lutheran Church in Springfield. Together Lillian and Wilbert moved to Wilbert’s family farm in North Star Township where they raised steers and hogs. Lillian enjoyed gardening, flowers, fancywork, and farming. She and Wilbert loved traveling, and they took many fishing trips and bus trips, seeing every state except Hawaii. Lillian loved showing their pictures and sharing their travel adventures with family and friends. She was a wonderful story teller, and had a wonderful way with children. All the nieces and nephews have very fond memories of Aunt Lillian; she always made each one feel special.
Lillian is survived by many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Wilbert, infant son Dean Wilbert, brothers: Gerhardt, Hartman, Delbert, Robert, and Eugene Meyer, and sisters: Dorothy Tonak and Lenora Schleusner.
