Lucille Marie Green age 92 of Morgan passed away Sunday, July 17, 2016 at Autumn Grace in Mankato surrounded by her family. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 22 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Morgan. Visitation is 5:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the Redwood Valley Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. followed by a Rosary service. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Friday. Burial is in St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent at www.stephensfuneralservice.com. Lucille Marie was born August 14, 1923 in Paxton Township, Redwood County, Minnesota to Axel and Edna (Stitz) Christopherson. She attended country school in Paxton Township and Redwood Falls High School. Lucille worked at Clem’s Jewelry in Redwood Falls for a few years. On September 26, 1942 she was united in marriage to Jerome Green at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Morgan. Together the couple made their home in the Morgan area. They raised seven children. Lucille was very devoted to her family. She enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking, baking, and feeding her guests. She loved music, dancing and traveling to local dances, spending time at the lake, and family picnics.
Lucille is survived by her children: Janet (Jim) Uhlenkamp of New Ulm, Carolyn Steffl of Redwood Falls, Dick (Lynn) Green of Morgan, Greg (Jeanne) Green of Redwood Falls, Randy (Kim) Green of Boca Raton, FL, Bryan (Bonnie) Green of Morgan, and Shelly (Clyde) Getty of Boulder, CO; 21 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; sisters-in-law Ruth Simonsen of Morgan and Mae Vollbrecht of New Brighton; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Jerome, and son-in-law Bill Steffl.
What a wonderful woman. I feel very blessed to have known her. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family. I have many fond memories.

I recall seeing her when she worked at Paddock School in Boulder, CO from 1978-1981.
I enjoyed her smile and how she made you feel at ease.
