Anna Leona (Litfin) Knoblauch was born February 21, 1930 to Joseph and Florence (Dodd) Litfin in Buffalo Lake, Minnesota.  She then moved with her family to Sleepy Eye and later Walnut Grove at the age 6 or 7 years old.  Ann received her First Holy Communion at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Walnut Grove and was later confirmed there. She attended school in Walnut Grove.  Ann met her husband to be, Leo Knoblauch of Tracy, at a Saturday night dance.  The couple was married in 1947 and ended up moving to a farm near Balaton for three years.  In 1956, they moved to a farm east of Balaton, where Ann was currently residing.  She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother who kept the household running smoothly for her family.  Ann enjoyed spending time with her kids and their families.  She loved baking, cooking, feeding the birds and both flower and vegetable gardening. The family would like to extend a thank you to Kathy for her help and friendship with their mother.

Ann is survived by her children: Linda (Bob) Corcoran, Mary Chaulsett, Ruth (Doug) Christianson and Ron (Val) Knoblauch; grandchildren: Matt (Carrie) Corcoran, Wyatt, Kya & Shelby Corcoran, Cory (Jessica) Chaulsett, Reed (Pat) Chaulsett, Amy (John) Bruns, Kelly (Kerry) Louwagie, Lacey (Cole) Rachuy, Bryce Hudgins, and Philip & Nikolaus Knoblauch; great grandchildren: Trevor, Tommie, Troy & Tamryn Chaulsett, Whitney Bruns, Kassidy & Kolby Louwagie, and Arayah Rachuy; sister Mary Trewartha; brother James (Betty) Litfin; sister-in-law Lois Litfin; and many other relatives and friends.
