Denise Halvorson, age 65 of Redwood Falls, passed away Friday, February 26, 2021 at U of M Medical Center East Bank, from complications following heart surgery. Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 3 at the Redwood Valley Funeral Home, with visitation one hour prior. Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, guests will be required to wear a mask and practice social distancing guidelines. A 50% indoor occupancy restriction will be maintained. Stephens Funeral Service – Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Denise (Snow) Halvorson was born July 2, 1955 in Mankato, Minnesota to Kenneth Sr. and Beverly (Starnes) Snow. She was baptized in the Lutheran faith, and graduated from Owatonna High School. On August 6, 1982, Denise married Larry Halvorson Sr. in Mankato, Minnesota. Denise loved being outside and enjoyed warm weather and sunshine. She was happiest when she was surrounded by her family – especially her grandchildren. She loved playing Candy Crush, and enjoyed fishing. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy.
Denise is survived by her husband of 38 years, Larry of Redwood Falls; children: Stephanie Halvorson of Springfield, Jeremiah Halvorson of Atwater, Robert (Ally), Larry Jr. “Skeeter” (Jesika), and Kristina (fiancé Brandin Garnhardt) Halvorson all of Redwood Falls; grandchildren: Amy, Rian, Kayleigh, Rileigh, Robert Jr., Reese, Landon, Brody, Gaige, Brynnlee, and to be continued, Kayden, Leilan, Ava, and Raegin; great-grandson Ethan; siblings: Kenneth Jr. (Gayle) Snow, Peggy (Chad) Wolters, Scott (Jamie) Snow; and many nieces; nephews; other relatives & friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth Sr. and Beverly Snow.
