Lane “Doc” Lee Horn, age 77 of Tracy, passed away Friday, June 7, 2024 at Prairie View Senior Living in Tracy.  Memorial Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at the Tracy Area Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Wednesday. Stephens Funeral Service – Tracy Area Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Lane “Doc” Lee Horn was born May 5, 1947 to Arnold and Lorean (Lidtke) Horn in Canistota, South Dakota. He was baptized in Canistota and confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Fulda, Minnesota. Doc graduated from Fulda High School. He continued his education at Mankato for one year, Worthington Jr. College for one year and later graduated from Palmer’s Chiropractic College in Davenport, Iowa. Doc lived in Miami, Oklahoma where he worked for a while before moving to Tracy in 1977. On May 26, 1979, he married the love of his life, Linda Baumgartner, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Fulda. Doc bought Dr. Blesner’s practice and operated that for 47 years until 2020. Doc was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and served his community on the Tracy Fire Department. He enjoyed playing softball and bowling.

Doc is survived by his wife Linda; sisters-in-law: Sandy Horn and Mary (Stephen) Stritzel; brothers-in-law: Bill (Karla) Baumgartner, Jim (Paulette) Baumgartner and Jerry Baumgartner; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Vernis Gustin, and brother Ilen Horn.
