Doug Deem, age 60 of Watertown, SD formerly of Tracy, passed away Sunday, December 5, 2021.  Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 13, 2022 at the Tracy City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred and will be used for purchasing a grave marker for Doug. 

Doug Deem was born February 2, 1961 to Wilbur and Grace (Draayom) Deem in Marshall, Minnesota.  He attended Tracy area schools.  Doug loved music his whole life, in his younger years he was a drummer in a band called “Gracie’s Kids”.  He was a sawyer at Marshall Truss Systems for many years.  Doug was most known for his laugh that we will all remember.  He cared about everyone and always made friends everywhere.  He was always on the go and was not one to sit still.  Doug loved being out socializing and surrounded by his friends. 

Doug is survived by daughters: Crystal (Roberto) DeJesus of FL and Sarah Deem of MN; granddaughter, Ever Deem; sister, Kathy (Phil) Markel of WI; nephew and niece: Phillip Markel of MN and Heather (Todd) Wilbur of IL; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Richard & Kenneth and nephew Terry.
