Eddie Albu, age 86 of Belview, passed away suddenly on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at his home.

Funeral Services have been rescheduled will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 10 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Belview. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Interment will be in the Belview Cemetery.  Stephens Funeral Service – Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Eddie Albu was born on March 27, 1935 in Belview to Iver and Minnie (Donner) Albu. He attended school in Belview. On April 8, 1956 he married the love of his life Catherine Fagen at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. Together they farmed Southeast of Belview. After Eddie retired, they moved into town in 1999. During retirement he worked for the cement plant in Redwood Falls and also drove limousine for Jackpot Casino.

Eddie loved his horses and attending Rodeos.  Eddie and Nook had a lot of horses including Belgians, named Bonnie and Clyde, and quarter horses.  He was a lifetime member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, and also was a member of the Echo Triple T Saddle Club and the Redwood Valley Riders.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Catherine “Nook”; nephews: David Albu of Wabasso and Marvin (Marilyn) Davis of Wabasso; great nieces & nephews: Laurie (Randy) Eckl, Ron (Char) Albu, Pete (Teresa) Albu, Gina (Mike) Pistulka, Tara (Pete) Amberg, Amy (Troy) Mude; niece-in-law Jenny Albu; and many great nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters: Margaret Schjenken, Walter Albu, Florence Davis, & Iver Albu Jr.; nephew: Dean Davis; niece-in-law LaVerle Albu; great nephew: Kevin Albu and great nephew-in-law: Bob Klinkhammer.
