Elaine was special, especially after our mom died because she had the nerve to stay close, to help, to get involved. She helped with my graduation party. Before I left for college, she had the neighbor ladies over for a " send off party". The only 3 cups of coffee I ever drank in my life, were at that party as testimony to my being a grown up. I realize now she had a lot more wisdom than I did and foresaw how much going away to college could change your life. Being part of your lives were my " good old days". Thank you for sharing your wonderful mother.

What a wonderful obituary! Elaine was a special person and a life long friend to me and to my mom, Kathryn Swoffer. She always had a positive attitude and a wonderfully contagious laugh. My condolences to Janet and Arlen and all of her family.
