I agree with Maureen. The girls in the class of 1977 had a lot of fun at the Bertschi farm. Bette and Sam were welcoming and patient with us, and Bette always had a smile on her face. My heart is with the family. She was a great lady.

I have many fond memories of Bette from a few nights spent overnight on the farm, Busy Bees meetings, and football and basketball games. She was definitely a force who contributed a lot to the Walnut Grove community. I am thinking of the entire Bertschi family at this time.
