Faye Bernadean (Pemble) Hansen, age 102, of Springfield, formerly of Walnut Grove, passed away peacefully Monday, November 18, 2024 at St. John’s Lutheran Home in Springfield. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 6, 2024 at English Lutheran Church in Walnut Grove. Visitation will be from 9:30 until the time of service at the church on Friday. Stephens Funeral Service – Walnut Grove Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Faye Bernadean (Pemble) Hansen was born October 29, 1922 to Daniel and Lena Augusta (Saunders) Pemble in North Hero Township. She married Elton “Dane” Hansen. Faye led a very full life. She was a farmer’s wife who helped with chores, raised chickens and cooked meals. Faye also worked outside the home, employed at a pharmacy and a museum, working until the age of 82! When her husband was manager of the Legion, she helped him with his duties there. She was very active in her church. Her pastimes were knitting, bowling, golfing and playing cards.

Faye is survived by her daughters: Jan (Wally) Arends & Jackie Ostenson; grandchildren: Kelli (Mark) Woelfel, Chad (Karla) Arends, Andrea (Duane) Sollie, Mike (Lisa) Ostenson, Lisa Wegner, Leslie Wegner; 13 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-great-grandchild; and many other family & friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Elton, daughter Joan Wegner, and grandson Clay Arends.
