Helen R. Iverson, age 97 of Dovray, passed away Friday, June 7, 2024 at the Westbrook Good Samaritan Care Center under the care of Avera Hospice. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Dovray. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will be in Our Savior’s Lutheran Cemetery in Dovray. Stephens Funeral Service – Westbrook Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Helen R. Iverson was born February 21, 1927 in Dovray, Minnesota, to Ingvald and Regina (Oiom) Iverson. She was baptized and confirmed at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Dovray. She first attended school in Dovray, and graduated from Westbrook High School. Helen worked for over 30 years at the Westbrook Egg Plant. She was always very involved in her community and participated in many organizations including the Legion Auxiliary, Quilting Club, Birthday Club, as well as Ladies Aid and Bible Study at church. Helen was a fabulous cook, and baked many delicious sweets. She enjoyed quilting, and made countless quilts for each of her nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and for many graduations and weddings.

Helen is survived by 4 nieces and 5 nephews; and numerous great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters: Hazel (Paul) Bergman, Yvonne (Chet) Hollingsworth, Ruby (John) Yochem, Iola (Bob) Bergman, and nephew Terry Hollingsworth.
