Jason Allen Ourada, age 49 of Luverne, formerly of Walnut Grove, passed away peacefully Thursday, September 26, 2024 at his home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at English Lutheran Church in Walnut Grove. Visitation will be held one hour prior the service at the church. Jason Allen Ourada was born March 13, 1975 in New Ulm, Minnesota to Richard and Vickie (Wells) Ourada. He was baptized on July 13, 1975 and later confirmed at English Lutheran Church in Walnut Grove. He graduated from Westbrook Walnut Grove High School. In 2014, Jason met Kimberlee Clark and it didn’t take them long to know it was true love. They were married on September 12, 2014 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and enjoyed 10 wonderful years together. Jason worked as a drafter for several companies before becoming a supervisor for a bricklayer. Eventually, he was a shift supervisor at the Ethanol plant before his health deteriorated. A devoted volunteer at the Sanford Clinic in Luverne, Jason was known for his small-town kindness and willingness to help others. Jason was a recovering alcoholic and recently celebrated 10 years of sobriety. He regarded his AA home group as his family. He was extremely protective of those he loved. Jason loved hunting, fishing, crafts, and painting, showcasing his natural artistic talent. He was an all-around goofball and was always playing jokes on people. He often was singing and dancing. He loved his cats and treated them like his babies. Anytime he felt the need to decompress he would ride his motorcycle, as his loved ones have heard him say, “The breeze on my face is my form of therapy”.

Jason is survived by his wife, Kim; brothers Rick (Connie) of Walnut Grove and John (Teresa) of Lamberton; mother-in-law Shirley Clark; brother-in-law Steve (Shelley) Clark; nieces and nephews: Jessica, Derick, Joshua, Jillian, Cora Mae, Evelyn, David, John Jr, Taylor, Alex, Thomas and Logan; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Emma, and father-in-law Thomas Clark.
