Keith A. Kropp, age 78 of Walnut Grove, passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at home with Gail at his side.  Memorial Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Tracy Lutheran Church.  Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday at the Walnut Grove Funeral Home, and will continue one hour prior to the service at church on Friday.  Interment is in the Tracy City Cemetery. Stephens Funeral Service – Walnut Grove Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Keith A. Kropp was born March 12, 1945 in Redwood Falls to Herbert & Doris (Fletcher) Kropp.  He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith.  Keith graduated from Milroy High School in 1963.  On June 12, 1965, he married Rosalie Warnke in Lucan.  Keith drove semi for a number of years.  He then worked at Chevrolet and later at John Deer in Wabasso.  He also worked for Crop Mate Fertilizer in Revere before purchasing Olson Hardware in Walnut Grove.  He later started Kropp Sewer Service operating heavy equipment.  On March 9, 1991, Keith was united in marriage to Gail Grindeland at Tracy Lutheran Church.  He was a member of Pheasants Forever.  Keith enjoyed collecting and shooting guns, and liked to attend the Black Powder Rendezvous and gun shows.  He spent his time remodeling his house and working on his cars.  In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and boating.  Most of all, Keith loved spending time with his family and friends.

Keith is survived by his wife Gail of 33 years; children: Michael (Nicole) Kropp of Sioux Falls, SD, Kathy (Jeff) Heitkamp of Caldwell, TX, Carrie (Arlan) Van Veldhuizen of Hawarden, IA, & Chad Greenfield of Tracy; grandchildren: Adelynn & Dantley Kropp, Leah & Gabi Berre, Samantha Van Veldhuizen, Jullissa (Spencer) Barron, and Veronica & Jared Van Veldhuizen, bonus granddaughter Libby Warner (special friend Jake); great granddaughter Bailey; sister Julie (John) Brakke of Milroy and many other relatives and friends.  He is preceded in death by his parents, and siblings: Bruce Kropp, Richard Kropp & Karen Webster.
