Larry Walter Fedde, 71, of Amiret, MN passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on February 8, 2024 from cancer. A visitation for Larry will be held at 5 PM on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at Tracy Area Funeral Home, 1155 Morgan St, Tracy, MN with a prayer service at 7 PM.  A Memorial Service will be held at 2 PM on Friday, February 16, 2024, at Living Word Lutheran Church, 800 East Southview Court, Marshall, MN.  Friends and family are invited to gather for visitation one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.  Light refreshments will be served following the service. Stephens Funeral Service – Tracy Area Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Larry was born on October 19, 1952 to Lawrence and Irma (VanWinkle) Fedde of Balaton, MN. He was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Balaton, MN.  He graduated from Balaton High School in 1971 (participated in FFA, track, basketball, class play, teacher assistant) and from Pipestone college (auto mechanics) in 1973. In 1974, he founded Fedde’s Repair auto shop – 50 years of service that will be continued by his son Dwayne Fedde and nephew Mike Fedde. Larry married Kathy Mumm on May 8, 1982 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Balaton, MN. Larry enjoyed working on cars, playing cards, driving his grandkids around on his golf cart, going fishing, taking trips to Deadwood, SD, and visiting with his many friends and customers. He was a member of the Tracy Eagles Club. Larry was a loving husband, father and papa who enjoyed time with his family. He would not want us to grieve for him but to celebrate his life and know that his love will always be with his family and friends. Many thanks to our friends and family. He is survived by wife Kathy Fedde; sister – Peggy Huwe; brother – John Fedde; daughters – Laura (Val) Scherer of Annandale, MN, Rhonda (Scott) Hareid of Farmington, MN, Rebecca (Cody) Bruns of Tracy, MN; sons — Terry Fedde and Dwayne (Shelby) Fedde of Amiret, MN; Grandchildren – Jon, Tonja, Makenzie and Makayla Scherer, Ally Kongshaug, Jake and Marisa Hareid, Gavin, Dylan, Tristan and Liam Fedde, Maci and Evie Bruns; and nephews, nieces, and cousins. He was preceded in death by grandparents – Walter and Mary Fedde, Glen and Luella VanWinkle; parents – Lawrence and Irma Fedde; brothers – Bob, Tom and Jimmy Fedde; and aunts and uncles.
