I loved the times I got to visit with G-ma! She was a sweet lady. She convinced me that chickens are smarter than some people! Her memories will always be a blessing.

Our deepest sympathy on the loss of your mom. I will always remember how she loved her chickens and her eyes would light up when she would talk about them. It is so very sad that Covid kept you physically away from her for awhile. Prayers for your family.

Dear Mom, Today as we plan your celebration of Life service, my heart feels heavy and my mind wants to deny that you are gone. Family is coming home to send you off with love and hugs. I am happy to see everyone, but it just feels wrong to be gathering without you. We chose all your favorite songs, and lavender flowers will grace your casket, we gather and share stories of all our times together and my eyes fill with tears and chest tightens as I struggle to maintain my composure. I simply miss you already and want just one more day to spend with you. Covid stole so much time from us, you were isolated in a small one room apartment, we visited you from outside your window and then we walked away to be with our family, while you simple turned away from the window and stayed in your room. I cannot imagine how very sad and lonely you must have been. I try hard to find the good in this whole thing and what I believe is that you are Home and you are pain free. A blessing that came in the last days was that our family was allowed to come in and be with you, we hugged, we prayed, we talked and we loved you enough to let you go. As you took your last breaths I witnessed you open your beautiful brown eyes and a smiled a smile I haven't seen in a long long time. I know you saw Jesus and you took His hand and entered Heavens gate to join your sweetheart. You earned your wings mom, Soar High! I promise to never forget you.... your daughter, Laurie
