Margaret (Bartusek) Taylor, age 80, formerly of Redwood Falls, passed away Monday, May 29, 2023 at Good Samaritan Mary Jane Brown Home in Luverne. Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, June 3, 2023 at Redwood Valley Funeral Home. Visitation will be 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery in Renville. Stephens Funeral Service – Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Margaret Louise (Bartusek) Taylor was born March 27, 1943 to Marvin and Elda (Schake) Bartusek. She was the smallest baby born at Montevideo Hospital at less than 2 pounds and was baptized in the hospital because she was not expected to survive. Margaret was confirmed at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Lamberton. After graduating from Lamberton High School, Margaret moved to Rapid City, SD where she met her husband John Lee Taylor, Sr. They lived in many places, wherever John was stationed with the military. They were blessed with two children, and later divorced. She loved her social interaction at Control Data/MPI/Zytec/Artesyn/Daktronics where she was employed. Her co-workers were her friends. Margaret was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. She loved bowling and played on several leagues. Bingo was also a favorite game of Margaret’s. She loved her dogs and everything Elvis – movies, music, and memorabilia. Margaret was quiet, softspoken, a hard worker and always provided for her family. She had a gentle way of speaking and a peaceful demeanor.

Margaret is survived by her children: Lee (Jana) Taylor of Burlington, WI and Evon (Ron) Dickmeyer Faber of Sioux Falls, SD; 6 grandchildren: Darcy (Matt) Uecker, Tanya Taylor, Ryan Taylor, Brian (Kristen) Dickmeyer, Matthew (Jessica) Dickmeyer, and Jorden (Gil) Haugan; 16 great-grandchildren; sisters: Mavis (Gary) Hardenburgh and Shirley Lofgren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends. She is preceded in death by her parents: Marvin Bartusek & Elda Bjork; stepfather Vernon Bjork; siblings: Don, Bill, and Robert Bjork; son-in-law Dale Dickmeyer; brother-in-law Larry Lofgren and sister-in-law Delores Bjork.
