Mark “Burr” Ronald Rayburn, age 68 of Redwood Falls, passed away August 23, 2025 at CentraCare Redwood Hospital. Burr’s Last Big Party will be held 4:00-7:00 p.m. Saturday, September 27, 2025 at Peart’s Bar and Lounge in North Redwood.

Mark “Burr” Ronald Rayburn was born March 8, 1957 to Donald Demoss and Betty Jean (Ozanne) Rayburn in Fort Smith, Arkansas. The family moved to Iowa, where Burr received his early education, and then to Redwood Falls, MN where Burr completed his education and formed many special and lasting friendships. Burr worked in a variety of areas of employment, including Johnson’s Gardens in Redwood Falls, which his father owned and operated for several years. He traveled to many areas of Minnesota and Iowa working on a steel construction crew for Henningson Steel, and later operated his own construction business for several years. Burr also spent many years as an over-the-road semi-truck owner/operator, giving him the opportunity to travel to nearly all 50 states. When Burr decided he’d spent enough time on thousands of long hauls, he began working a bit closer to his home as a heavy equipment operator for several construction projects. On July 20, 2013, Burr married Dagmar “Drag” Hoff at St. Cornelia’s Episcopal Church on the Lower Sioux. Together, they enjoyed fishing and camping at their lake home, riding motorcycle, and going on Carnival cruises.

Burr is survived by his wife, Dagmar “Drag” Rayburn of Redwood Falls; daughter Kristine Rayburn of Redwood Falls and special friend Baubbi Jo Odle of Isanti, and daughter Ashley (Andy) VanHecke of Wood Lake; sister Denise (Randy) Sander of Redwood Falls; parents-in-law Audrey & “Bummer” Haas of Morton; sister-in-law Dana Nelson of Morton; and many other special family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter Madison Vagle, brother Brian Rayburn, and grandparents: D.W. & Verna Rayburn, and Harold & Alison Ozanne.
