Patricia J. Guggisberg, age 79 of Redwood Falls, formerly of Wanda, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, November 15, 2024 at River Valley Health & Rehabilitation in Redwood Falls. Visitation will be 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at River Valley Health & Rehabilitation, with a prayer service at 4:30 p.m. Memorial Services will be held at a later date with burial in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery – Willow Lake. Stephens Funeral Service – Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Patricia J. (Kahler) Guggisberg was born to Carl and Toots (Schriever) Kahler on May 28, 1945 in Luverne, Minnesota. She was united in marriage on June 16, 1962 to Sam Wassenaar at the Presbyterian Church in Beaver Creek. Patricia later married Vern Guggisberg on October 21, 1987 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Willow Lake. Patricia stayed home to raise her 3 sons and later worked as a bookkeeper at the Wanda Elevator for many years. In 2020, Patricia moved to River Valley Health & Rehab in Redwood Falls. She enjoyed bowling and playing cards – particularly Pinochle. Her greatest joy was spending time with family.

Patricia is survived by her sons: Bill Wassenaar of Slayton, Mike (Angie) Wassenaar of Slayton, & Jim Wassenaar of Glencoe; granddaughter Jessica Halvorson of Redwood Falls; great-grandchildren: Kayden Joseph Wassenaar, Leilan Russell Halvorson & Ava Dustie-Grace Halvorson; siblings: Jon (Vallerie) Kahler of New Mexico & Pamila (Doug) Hanson of Beaver Creek; & many other relatives & friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Carl & Toots, sister Judy Brown and brother Alan Kahler.
