Patricia “Patty” A. Bidinger, age 70 of Morton formerly of Bloomington, passed away Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Carris Health-Redwood Hospital in Redwood Falls surrounded by her loving family after battling cancer for the past eight years.  Private family services will be held. Interment will be in the Morton City Cemetery at a later date.

Patricia “Patty” A. Bidinger was born February 18, 1951 to William and Mary (Gaasch) McCauley in Richfield, Minnesota.  She graduated in 1969 from John F. Kennedy High School in Bloomington. On April 4, 1970, Pat married the love of her life, William Bidinger, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Franklin. She worked at an insurance company in Bloomington, while Bill was serving in the U.S. Army.  After Bill was discharged from the service, the couple lived in Franklin for one year before moving to Redwood Falls for several years.  In 1975, they moved to Morton where they lived in their first house, the “red brick house.”  There, they raised their children, Scotty and Stacy.  Pat worked at Donovan’s as the head cleaning lady.  She later did paint and trim work and worked at Redpoll in her final years of employment.  In 2003, the couple retired and moved to Bill’s family home.  Pat was a member of the Morton Saddle Club, Card Club, and St. John’s Catholic Church, where she was head of the circle for many years.  She enjoyed horseback riding, fishing and boating, ALL animals, the state fair, going to movies and mowing. You could often find her mowing at the Morton Catholic cemetery.  She loved time with her grandchildren and family, especially her best friend Bill.  She fell in love with his horse at age 10, and then him.  They shared many adventures, especially in their last 17 years of retirement together.

Pat is survived by her husband Bill of 51 years and 8 months; children: Scotty (Heather) Bidinger of Redwood Falls and Stacy Ouimette (Kelly Clark) of Lakeville; grandchildren: Boe, Aubrey, Cole, Sophia, Luke, Josephine & Olivia Bidinger and Tide, Tanna & Tealy Ouimette; sister Mary Josephine Simmons of Morton; and many other loving relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law John Simmons.
